Children of the Lie

by | 1991

What happened to your innocence, dear children? Your acts of kindness? Your sweetness?

You wanted to be just like your daddy and mommy. And now that you are, you see in your own darkness the disease we brought into your life.

How can I explain to you that I drank deeply from the same cup. And even though we’ve wounded you, you still believe that we will be the instruments of your healing.

Don’t you believe it for a second. Deep down you know it’s not true. You’re not crazy.

There is only One who can deliver you from this perpetual curse. The One who took the curse upon Himself and now lives beyond it.

Believe this truth and you will heal us all.
