Man-God

Born upon celestial heights
in womb of virgin darkness,
mothering the Earth unknown by
first light,
fairest of the fair,
grace me with your presence,
your comely countenance.

Come, quickly, draw me near.
Splendor of lineage divine
press me close to your heart’s perfect fatherhood,
that love-bearing motherhood
and on-reaching brotherhood.
Dwell with me this Earthen way.

Kingly Savior,
Christ,
Eternal Lifespring let spring
joy unending
from love freely spilling,
anointing my wounds:
flesh and spirit to be wed.
